What type of lettuce should I buy for this recipe?
Green leaf lettuce, romaine, or butter leaf lettuce all work great.

What other nuts work in this recipe if I can’t have walnuts?
Almonds, cashews, pecans all work great. If you have a nut allergy, just take the nuts out and rest assured you’ll still love this recipe.

Any that you like! I’ve used buffalo sauce and regular hot sauce and both taste delicious. These also taste delicious with bbq sauce and sweet Thai chili sauce.

Storing & reheating

Have leftovers? Lucky you! Store the chicken in an airtight container for up to 4 days. To reheat, simply microwave for 30-45 seconds or add to a frying pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, just until heated throughout. Be sure to store the lettuce in a separate container.

Can I freeze this recipe? To freeze the chicken, allow the mixture to come to room temperature, add to a freezer safe ziplock bag or airtight container and freeze for up to 2 months. To thaw, remove from the freezer and let thaw in the fridge overnight. Heat in a frying pan and cook until the chicken has been heated throughout.

Made this for dinner and did not expect this to be so good. Do not skip the walnuts, they add a great crunch. Took maybe 10-15 mins.
