My Big Mac Salad combines the staple Big Mac ingredients such as ground beef, lettuce, pickles, shredded cheese, sesame seeds, and a healthier take on the special mac sauce. This low carb salad recipe will leave you feeling satisfied and full, and I promise you will continue coming back to this recipe time and time again. 4 steps to make this Big Mac Salad
- Cook your ground beef: using either ground beef or turkey, cook your meat for 3-4 minutes, or until no pink remains.
- Prepare your sauce: add all of the sauce ingredients to a medium size bowl and mix well.
- Chop your salad ingredients: prepare your salad ingredients by chopping into similar sized pieces.
- Assemble: assemble your salad starting with the romaine lettuce, ground beef, and the rest of your ingredients, followed by the mac sauce.

Storing
Have leftovers? Lucky you. Store them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 4 days. I recommend storing the ground beef in a separate container from the rest of the ingredients.

Big Mac Salad
Ingredients
Ground Beef:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb ground beef, or turkey
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Mac Sauce:
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, or mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp pickle juice
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 2 tbsp white onion, chopped fine
- 1 garlic clove, chopped fine
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Salad Ingredients:
- 5 cups romaine lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
- 1/2 cup white onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
- 1/2 cup tomato, roughly chopped
- 1 tsp sesame seeds, optional
Instructions
- Grab a medium sized pan, get it on the stove to a medium setting and add your oil.
- Once heated, add your ground beef and begin to brown for 3-4 minutes.
- Once browned, add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper and cook until there is no signs of pink remaining, then set aside.
- Assemble your dressing. Combine dressing ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
- Begin to assemble your salad: start with the romaine lettuce as the base, ground beef, pickles, onions, cheese, tomatoes, dressing, and then finish off with toasted sesame seeds.
- Mix and enjoy right away!

omg – such a fun whimsical salad! I havenโt had a Big Mac in eons and this salad captured the nostalgic tastes! Made with ground chicken – enjoyed but know beef would have taken it over the top!
