  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp anchovy paste
  • 1 tbsp + 1/4 tsp worcestershire
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • cup parmigiano-reggiano finely grated
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Chicken:

  • 5 thinly sliced chicken breasts
  • salt
  • pepper
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce
  • 4 or 5 sausage buns toasted
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce finely chopped
  • croutons optional

Instructions

  • Begin by preparing the caesar dressing.
Start by grating the parmigiano-reggiano and set aside until ready to use.
  • Zest and juice the lemon.
Set aside until ready to use.
  • To a medium sized bowl whisk all of the caesar dressing ingredients together.
    About 1-2 minutes.
  • Taste to adjust seasioning accordingly and set aside until ready to add to the chopped romaine lettuce.
  • Wash and chop the romaine lettuce. Set aside until ready to use.
  • Add the chicken breasts to a medium sized bowl and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
  • Next, add the buffalo sauce and gently toss to combine.
  • To a large frying pan, add a tsp of cooking oil (olive oil or avocado oil) and set to medium/high heat.
  • Pan fry the chicken on each side for 2-3 minutes, or until fully cooked.
Set aside to let cool slightly while you toast the buns.
Sammy's tip: toasting the buns will keep the sandwich together better.
  • Add a few tablespoons of the caesar dressing onto the chopped romaine along with a handful of croutons and toss to combine.
The amount of dressing you use will be based off of how many sandwiches you are making.
Sammy's tip: the caesar dressing keeps fresh in the fridge for up to 7 days.
  • Add a layer of caesar dressing to the base of the toasted bun, followed by a chicken breast and top with a generous scoop of caesar salad.
  • Enjoy right away!
