Apricot & Bacon Cream Cheese
- 1 250 gram block cream cheese
- 3 tbsp apricot jam
- 1/4 cup crumbled bacon cooked
Everything But the Bagel Cream Cheese
- 1 250 gram block cream cheese
- 2 tbsp everything but the bagel seasoning
Preheat your oven to 250 °F then line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Prepare the cream cheese: place each block of cream cheese on your prepared baking dish or tray. Gently score the top of each block in a checkerboard pattern, making shallow cuts to help the toppings soak in.
Toppings: spread the apricot jam evenly over the scored top of one cream cheese block.To the second cream cheese block, coat it completely by sprinkling the everything bagel seasoning evenly over all surfaces (top, bottom, and sides). Gently press the seasoning in to ensure it adheres. Bake(uncovered): place both prepared cream cheese blocks in the oven and bake for 50-55 minutes, until they are warm and very slightly melted.After 40 minutes sprinkle the cooked crumbled bacon on top of the cream cheese block with the apricot jam and return it to the oven for an additional 15 minutes. Transfer to a serving dish and serve with crackers, chips or toasted crostini.
